2 displaced after Harrisburg house fire

The Red Cross is assisting two people who were displaced by a house fire this morning.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A fire displaced two people from their Harrisburg home this morning.

Chief Brian Enterline with the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire says the North 15th Street blaze was an electrical fire that started around 7:15 a.m. when the cord to an air conditioner caught fire.

The Red Cross is assisting two people who were displaced. No one was injured.

Enterline says it is imperative to plug air conditioning units directly into the wall—not an adapter or power strip—to help prevent these kinds of fires.

The fire broke out just a few hours after firefighters had finished battling a blaze that damaged Harrisburg's Broad Street Market.
