Taste and tradition are coming together once again with this weekend marking the York County Heritage Trust’s 41st Annual Oyster Festival.
The event will feature oysters, seafood, beer and wine, as well as live music and artisan demonstrators. It’ll be Sunday, October 18th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Trust's Agricultural & Industrial Museum.
This is also the first year the organization is partnering with the Coastal Conservation Association. Together they will support the Oyster Shell Recycling Program.
Shells collected from the event will be used for habitat enhancement and reestablishing Chesapeake Bay oyster reef development.
