ORRTANNA, Pa. — Adams County Winery has been voted Best Winery in the Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia Tristate area by Verstandig Media, the Orrtanna-based winery said Wednesday in a press release.
“To be nominated for an award as prestigious as this one was an honor in itself, especially considering the number of amazing wineries in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia,” says Dan Baumgardner, General Manager of Adams County Winery. “Our team works extremely hard to make sure our guests have memorable experiences, and our vineyard and winemaking team consistently produce high-quality products, so winning this is a testament to the dedication of our entire team.
The contest allowed participants to nominate their favorite businesses in various categories, including food and beverage industry businesses, pet care companies, and community service organizations.
Afterward, participants were allowed to vote for their favorite throughout the month of February and early March in each category.
The competition listed some of the best wineries in the tri-state area, including Stone House Urban Winery and Red Heifer Winery.
Co-owners John Kramb and Katherine Bigler first took over Adams County Winery in 1998 and have since grown the business from producing around 2,000 gallons of wine a year to over 40,000 gallons a year.
“None of this would be possible without our amazing visitors and case club members who voted us the #1 winery in the tri-state region,” said Baumgardner. “We are grateful for their support.”
