GETTYSBURG, Pa. — Staff members at the Gettysburg National Military Park are looking for tips from the public to aid their investigation of two acts of vandalism at a landmark on the battlefield.

The vandalism occurred on February 13 and February 19 at the Benner barn, which is located on the northern section of the battlefield. Law enforcement rangers are conducting an active investigation and are seeking public assistance, the military park said in a press release.

"Information from visitors is often very helpful to investigators," the military park said. "If you were in the area of the Benner farm between February 13 and 19, 2024, or if you have information that could help, please contact us. You don’t have to tell us who you are, but please tell us what you know."

Anyone who has any information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Adams County Crimestoppers hotline at 717-334-8057.
