96-year-old woman killed in Adams County crash

According to a Pennsylvania State Police crash report, 96-year-old Fuji Smith, from Shrewsbury, was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. — One woman was pronounced dead following a multi-vehicle crash in Adams County.

According to a Pennsylvania State Police crash report, 96-year-old Fuji Smith, from Shrewsbury, was transported to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

According to PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler, the collision happened around 11:45 p.m. along PA-234. 

PSP's crash report states that the crash happened when one car attempted to make a left turn onto the US 15 north on-ramp without yielding to an oncoming vehicle, resulting in a collision. 

According to the crash report, the drivers of both cars were transported to nearby hospitals with minor injuries. 

The roadway was closed in both directions for several hours, but reopened around 2:30 p.m.
