LITTLESTOWN, Pa. — A former employee at an Adams County youth treatment facility has pleaded guilty to the sexual assault of one its residents.
The victim, a 14-year-old girl, alerted staff members at Hofmann Homes on Dec. 28, 2022, saying she was in a relationship with Oscar Delgadocruz, a 24-year-old staff member there, according to court documents.
The facility contacted police, who interviewed the victim. She reported Delgadocruz was "sexually inappropriate" with her multiple times in one of the facility's bathrooms.
Other alleged incidents occurred elsewhere on the facility's property, the victim told police.
Delgadocruz was aware of the victim's age, she reported.
Police said Delgadocruz confirmed some of the victim's statements but refused to answer specific questions regarding her allegations.
On Monday, Delgadocruz pleaded guilty to institutional sexual assault of a minor and corruption of a minor, court records show. He is facing a minimum sentence of six years and 11 months and a maximum of seven years and 11 months in prison.
He is currently incarcerated at Adams County Prison, where he is awaiting sentencing.
