State Police: Adams County crash leaves one dead

EAST BERLIN, Pa. — State Police in Gettysburg have released details regarding a fatal crash in Adams County.

According to troopers, the two-vehicle crash occurred in the 100 block of West King Street, East Berlin Borough around 9:20 a.m.

State Police say a Honda Civic was traveling westbound on West King Street at around 40 miles per hour, while a Dodge 5500 was traveling eastbound down the same street at around 35 miles per hour. 

The Honda Civic traveled southbound across the double yellow lane designator and struck the Dodge with its front end, according to PSP.

The driver of the Honda Civic, Eric Sterner, 33, from East Berlin, succumbed to his injuries in the back of the Adams County UPMC Ambulance at the scene of the crash, police said. The Adams County Coroner's Office stated that the cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries, and the manner was accidental.

The Dodge 5500's driver and passenger sustained possible shoulder injuries.
