ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. — State Police are investigating the assault and robbery of an elderly couple in Adams County.
The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on June 30 at a home on the 100 block of Kinneman Road in Berwick Township, according to police.
Investigators say an unknown male suspect entered the couple's home and attacked them with a hammer, causing injuries to both victims. He then stole jewelry, cash and prescription pills from inside the home before fleeing, police said.
The victims were unable to provide a description of the suspect because he was wearing a mask, according to police.
