EPHRATA, Pa. — The Ephrata Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened at Tobacco King in the Ephrata Borough.
On the evening of Monday, Sept. 2, a suspect- described as a male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black mask- entered the business reportedly armed with a handgun.
The suspect allegedly held an employee at gunpoint and searched the back employee-only area of the business. While doing so, the employee and two customers were able to escape unharmed, according to officers.
The suspect then reportedly fled the store on foot.
