MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Police in Cumberland County have charged a Blair County man with committing bank fraud earlier this year.
Kevin Christopher Iurilli, 48, already has several active arrest warrants relating to identity theft, fraud, and other charges, according to Lower Allen Township Police.
He is accused of using a false identity to withdraw $4,010 from the First National Bank on the 5000 block of Simpson Ferry Road on August 31, police said.
According to police, a male suspect, who was later identified as Iurilli, entered the bank and used the ID card of a bank member to obtain a cashier's check for $1,000 and withdraw $3,000.
The man correctly answered security questions and provided a Social Security number to verify the account.
Counting a $10 service fee for the cashier's check, Iurilli allegedly left the bank with $4,010, according to police.
First National Bank later notified employees of a male committing fraud across Pennsylvania and included a picture of the man, who was recognized as the one who visited the Simpson Ferry Road branch on August 31, police said.
The First National Bank security team was able to provide identification of the man, along with pictures of the man within the branch on the day of the transaction. The bank location notified police of the alleged fraud on September 10.
Additional charges were filed against Iurilli and an arrest warrant has been issued, according to police.
