'Absolutely gonna miss it' | Owner of Bob's Sno Balls set to retire after 60 years in business

"I get to see the good in people," Houser said while explaining his love for serving sno balls on his daily route across Adams and York Counties.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — A York County man is set to retire after being in business for 60 years.

Bob Houser, of Bob's Sno Balls, announced earlier this month on Facebook that due to health issues, he is retiring from serving the flavored desserts across our area.

"Started in 1965, and we've been doing it consecutively for 60 years," Houser said. "I run the same route everyday, so the kids know when I'm coming, where I'm coming, which street I'm on..."

Houser said he's been doing the job for so long because he loves the people.

"I get to see the good in people," Houser explained. "I'm selling to three, and four generations of the same family. So, they're not just customers, they're friends."

After announcing his retirement plans, residents commented sharing their thanks for Houser's service and the memories he helped make with the community over the years.

One commenter said, "though we will miss you, we wish you all the best in your retirement. Your hard work and kindness have made a lasting impact."

Bob's Sno Balls is set to make his last run on Saturday, Sept. 21.
