PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Central Pennsylvania police departments are reminding fans of Super Bowl LVIII to drive sober on game day.
Police departments across Dauphin, Lancaster and York Counties have issued statements promising extra patrols on the roadways Sunday evening, looking specifically for impaired drivers.
For those planning to be away from home during the Super Bowl, officers are encouraging a game plan on how to best get home; for party hosts, make sure there are plenty of food and non-alcoholic drink options for guests, especially for designated drivers.
Additionally, designated drivers should embrace being the night's MVP and keep their commitment front and center!
Driving under the influence isn't just a dangerous decision for everyone on the road, it's also costly. According to PennDOT, traffic fines can range between $300 to $10,000, depending on the blood alcohol content and number of offenses.
