ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. — Stephen Douglas Geltmacher of East Berlin, Pa. was arrested on Sept. 5 for the possession of child pornography.
The Adams County Police Department was assigned on July 22, 2024, to investigate 480 cybertipline reports from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), referred to NCMEC through Amazon Photos.
According to police, Amazon reported that between July 5-8, a user uploaded 479 images of child pornography.
Based on the pictures observed by police, a search warrant was served at Geltmacher's residence where an interview was conducted. Geltmacher allegedly admitted that everything in his room was his including a cell phone, tablet and tower computer.
Upon searching Geltmacher's tablet, it revealed 58 thumbnail images of child pornography where he then was arrested, said police.
Geltmacher has been charged with two counts of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility.
This is Geltmacher's second arrest regarding the possession of child pornography, with the first being in 2018. According to online documents, he pleaded guilty in May of 2019 to one count of child pornography.
