Bloomsburg Fair goers aren't letting the weather rain on their fair day

The first full day of fall is bringing cooler temperatures and cloudy skies to the fairgrounds.

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — A rainy day isn't enough to keep people from one of the staples of the Bloomsburg Fair.

"Just walking around and eat and eat, and eat, eat, that's all you can do here is food, food food," said Gary Bieski, Dorrance.

Diana Beck makes the trip from Allentown to the Bloomsburg Fair in Columbia County every year.  She tells us she wouldn't let the rain keep her from enjoying the day.

"The food, the buildings with all the flowers, and the things that the kids make, I really like it," says Diane Beck.

Robert Miller from Sunbury says he and his wife come to the fair rain or shine. They're staying dry by taking in all of the Horticulture Building has to offer and stopping for a bite at their favorite spot.

"And of course, Top of the Beef is one of our best places to go, and I like the industrial arts plus this guy over here with the bush stuff, and so there's other things dogs, animals, we just go all over."

Monday was also Senior Day at the Bloomsburg Fair. Fairgoers 65 and older get in for free.  Brenda Cantner from Cressona and her husband have been coming to the fair for 50 years.

"Cause there are so many great things to see inside the buildings, and we're prepared with raincoats and umbrellas, and that won't stop us from the food."

The Bloomsburg Fair runs through Saturday, rain or shine.
