CARLISLE (WPMT)-Three men were arrested Tuesday after shots were fired outside of a Carlisle bar during a fight, police said.
Authorities arrested 27-year-old Devon S. Renfrow, of Carlisle, 29-year-old Daniel L. Harris, of Carlisle and 46-year-old Albert Rubingh, of Moline, Illinois.
Renfrow is charged with reckless endangerment, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, firearms not to be carried without a license, felon not to possess a firearm and possession of an instrument of a crime. He was taken to Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail. Harris and Rubingh are each charged with disorderly conduct, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also charged Harris with possessing an instrument of a crime. Rubingh is also charged with public drunkenness. Both were taken to Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail each.
Officers responded to the Gingerbread Man located along the first block of South Court House Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. after receiving a report of a fight and shots fired outside the bar.
Arriving at the scene, police found the fight still going on. Witnesses said an argument erupted inside the bar and then spilled out onto the street. Renfro told police he shot his gun into the air to stop the fighting. Officers said Harris was involved in the fight and used an expandable baton to hit another person during the fight. Rubingh was also involved in the fight and appeared to be heavily intoxicated, police said.
Authorities found marijuana and drug paraphernalia on both Harris and Rubingh.
During the investigation–police discovered that Renfrow did not possess a permit to carry a concealed gun nor was the weapon registered to him.
A preliminary hearing for all three men is scheduled for March 4.
