Southwestern Regional Police announced three arrests have been made in connection with a convenience store robbery in York County on Monday.
Barbara Nicole Mummert, 26, of no fixed address is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and tampering with evidence. Mary Elizabeth Knight, 46, and her daughter 22-year-old Shantal Mae Knight both of Hampstead, Maryland are each charged with theft, conspiracy to commit robbery and receiving stolen property.
Police said Mummert and Shantal Knight walked into Goofy’s Eatery located along the 5900 block of York Road in Spring Grove on Monday around 7:45 p.m.
While Mummert posed as a customer, investigators said Knight presented a note to the store clerk demanding money and threatened the employee with a weapon.
The pair left the store together and got into a getaway vehicle driven by Knight’s mother, Mary. The trio then fled to Maryland.
Officers were able to quickly identify the three women after receiving numerous tips.
Mummert was taken into custody on Tuesday in Hanover Borough. Later that day–undercover officers arraigned to meet with Shantal and Mary Knight in Spring Grove. They were arrested with assistance from the York County Drug Task Force.
