ELYSBURG, Pa.– An 8-year old boy, who died after being found unresponsive in a pool at Knoebels Amusement Resort on Saturday, has been identified.
The Northumberland County coroner says the boy is Yassin Boudriss from the Lebanon area.
According to authorities, around 3:00 Saturday afternoon, a lifeguard discovered the boy in two or three feet of water in the Crystal Pool at the park. Emergency treatment was started and he was transported to Geisinger Medical Center near Danville.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning to determine how he died. At this time, the coroner said he is not calling it a drowning. The autopsy is scheduled for 8 a.m.
