POTTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Center Hall woman was arrested Tuesday after state police said she attacked her elderly boyfriend with a hacksaw and model airplane last week in Centre County.
Bonnie Sue Treaster, 46, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault and harassment. She was arraigned and taken to Centre County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
Pennsylvania State Police responded to the emergency room at Mount Nittany Medical Center on May 15 regarding an assault of 82-year-old man.
According to court documents, the man told police that Treaster came to his home located along the 100 block of Airport Road in Potter Township and assaulted him. He said he believed the attack was motivated by jealousy.
Treaster allegedly slapped him in the face and ransacked his home, court documents state. During the struggle–Treaster punched him in the eye. That’s when he told investigators he ran out of the house and into an attached garage. Treaster followed him to the garage and pinned him to the floor. He reported she struck him in the head with a metal exhaust clamp, grabbed a hacksaw and tried to pull down his pants, court records state. He eventually was able to escape–but he was naked and profusely bleeding from his groin area. He told police that he ran in the hopes someone would see him, but nobody did.
Treaster followed him in his pickup truck and he got in and they went back to his home. Once they returned home–she began yelling again and hit him in the mouth with a wing tip of a model airplane, according to court documents.
He sustained lacerations that needed stitches to his head and finger, cuts to his lip, a black and blue eye, injury to his genitals and a minor brain bleed, court documents state.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 27.
