RED LION, Pa.-- UPDATE (July 15): 22 people have been displaced after a fire spread to multiple homes on Sunday.
According to the Red Cross, 17 adults and 5 children were displaced due to the fire that impacted the entire first block of Boundary Avenue:
The cause was determined to be an overloaded electrical outlet within the kitchen of 37 Boundary Avenue.
Two people were injured while escaping out a second story window, and were treated by EMS.
Crews were on scene til 1:00 a.m. on Monday, and returned around 7:00 a.m. to eliminate a hot spot in the kitchen.
The total damage to the homes in the fire is estimated to be $540,000.
PREVIOUSLY: Firefighters are battling a massive structure fire that has spread to multiple homes on the 1st block of Boundary Avenue. 100 firefighters are ib scene from at least 6 departments.
The call came in shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, according to dispatch.
Fire police confirm there are no injuries.
The Red Cross is assisting multiple people who are displaced.
