HARRISBURG — UPDATE: Police have identified the two deceased from a murder-suicide in Harrisburg.
On October 11 around 6:30 p.m., police responded to the 3000 block of N. 2nd Street for a shots fired incident.
Upon arrival, police found a man on the sidewalk with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
That man was identified as 29-year-old Daniel Finkel.
A second man, 38-year-old Jeremy Cadwallader, was found nearby with gunshot injuries.
He was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died.
During the investigation, police found that Finkel had been involved in a domestic incident earlier with a woman.
Finkel was charged regarding that incident and released.
Once freed, Finkel returned to his residence on N. 2nd Street, where he found the female and Cadwallader, who was there to assist the woman in moving out.
Finkel confronted the two, informing them that they were all going to die.
The woman ran, but Finkel was able to shoot Cadwallader multiple times on the porch, then went to the sidewalk where he turned the gun on himself.

Police were called to the 3000 block of North 2nd Street just before 6:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a man lying on the sidewalk with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.
Police say another man was found nearby with injuries. That individual was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police add.
There is no threat to the public.
