(Dallas, TX) — The apartment complex where Lee Harvey Oswald briefly lived before the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is going to be torn down.
An attorney for the city of Dallas says the building will be demolished after it is tested for mold. Last May, the city won a court order requiring the uninhabited 10-unit apartment to be torn down.
City officials say the owner of the property has allowed it to become a “nuisance.”
Oswald and his wife lived in the building from November 1962 to March 1963. President Kennedy was assassinated eight months after that, on November 22, 1963.
