A 7-year-old Dauphin County girl is helping out our furry friends in a very special way.
“I love animals a lot,” says Taryn Marek.
Taryn Marek didn’t ask for presents for herself this year.
Instead, she asked all her friends and family to donate items to a local animal rescue.
Taryn had a dog themed birthday party last year but her mom says this year she decided to take it one step further.
“I asked her because she’s 6.. I said are you sure because that means people aren’t going to bring you birthday presents and I didn’t even get to get it out and she says, I am so sure, I want to help the dogs,” says Taryn’s mother, Miaja Marek.
The donations will go to Operation Paws for Homes, an all breed dog rescue which serves Central Pennsylvania.
