YORK COUNTY, Pa. – The York County Coroner has ruled the June 8th death of a 3 year old Jackson Township child a homicide. Isabel Rose Godfrey died of multiple injuries soon after arriving at the York Hospital emergency room. The girl was found unresponsive at her Chesapeake Estates home. She was in the care of her mother, 30 year old Regina Lester at the time.
Lester was found naked outside the home hugging a tree when police arrived on the scene. She was also transported to York Hospital for treatment where she was later arraigned on charges of Criminal Homicide, Endangering Welfare of Children and Terroristic Threats in the death of her three year old daughter. She is currently held at York County Prison.
