A court convicted Jerry Sandusky of sexually abusing 10 boys over a period of 15 years. Dottie Sandusky says her husband is innocent and that money motivated the victims.
She spoke to Matt Lauer of “The Today Show” at her home and gave him a tour of the basement, where victims said some of the sexual abuse took place.
One victim said he screamed when he was abused in their house. Sandusky says that can’t be true because she would have heard it.
“I think it was, they were manipulated, and they saw money,” says Dottie Sandusky. “Once lawyers came into the case, they said there was money. I think people need to know that Jerry is not guilty. And see all the discrepancies that went on at trial.”
She says she visits her husband once a week in prison and he is still “a happy person.”
He’s serving 30 to 60 years.
She also said he spends two hours a week in the law library and is “very hopeful” he will be allowed out on appeal.
