Kristi and Brad Galbraith say that an employee informed them that their son had been forcefully secured to one of the nap mats by one of owners of Heart2Heart Montessori Academy, Pamela Decker.

“When she contacted me, the first thing she said was, ‘I wanted you to know we called CPS today.’ Of course, I felt sick to my stomach, probably wailed out loud in the car,” Kristi Galbraith told the Star-Telegram. “I asked her ‘What do you mean? What happened?’ Then she proceeded to tell me what actually happened to our son that day.”

The employee sent them three photos of the boy stuck to the mat, and said that she confronted Decker.  Decker allegedly told her ““Do not say anything about this. I know this [is] illegal but felt it was necessary.”
The lawsuit also states that other “abusive behavior” had gone on at the facility including a child locked alone in a room for an extended amount of time, and withholding water from children to limit the amount of diaper changes the staff needed to do.

The day-care center has since made changes including installing cameras and regular drinking breaks for children, and according to the school, Decker is no longer working at the center.
