YORK TOWNSHIP, Pa.-- Dozens of firefighters worked to put out a barn fire in York Township, York County on Sunday afternoon.

The flames broke out just after 3:30 p.m. at the barn on the 300-block of Oak Road, near McDowell Drive. At least 10-tanker trucks were called to bring water to the scene. Several engines and other pieces of equipment were also summoned.

The barn was used for storage, not for any animals.

"As soon as everyone arrived on scene, we laid in, got water established. It didn't take long, the barn did collapse. There was nobody inside, no injuries, no livestock or animals inside, just equipment and hay," said  Matt Shields, Assistant Chief with Dallastown Fire Company.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
