In a video posted on the Tennessee Titans’ website Tuesday, former Penn State and Titans linebacker Tim Shaw announced he’s been diagnosed with ALS.
Shaw makes the announcement at the beginning of the video and then completes the “Ice Bucket Challenge,” which recently has raised awareness about ALS.
“I’m here today to stand up and fight with all of you against this disease,” says Shaw.
He also issues a challenge to the Titans, Penn State Coach James Franklin, the Penn State football team and “my Clarenceville community” to complete the challenge.
