Beginning September 29, 2014, FOX43 anchor Amy Lutz will join the Morning News team, and Heather Warner will take her seat on FOX43 NEWS AT TEN. Lutz will be featured during five hours of local morning news coverage every weekday, appearing alongside co-anchor Amanda McCall, meteorologist Jeff Jumper, and traffic reporter Chris Garrett. Warner will return to the late news role she last held two years ago alongside co-anchor Evan Forrester, Chief Meteorologist MaryEllen Pann, and Sports Director Todd Sadowski. Warner will also be seen on FOX43 NEWS FIRST AT FOUR.
FOX43 General Manager Chris Topf points to the pair’s strong connection to the audience as well as their individual personalities as reasons for their new positions. “We want to give Heather and Amy the opportunity to shine. They are both exemplary anchors, with a passion for what they do that shows on air. Amy and Heather both strike a positive chord with viewers that will have a significant impact on all things FOX43,” he stated.
“What we’ve discovered over the years,” adds News Director David Silverstein, “is that our viewers love these two no matter what newscast they are on. Amy worked on morning news programs prior to her arrival here at FOX43, so she is more than ready to wake up early! And of course, Heather has a long history in this area, having anchored FOX43 NEWS AT TEN for many years.”
