Giant Food Stores announced a new service today that will allow customers to shop online and have their groceries delivered to their houses. Giant is partnering with the leading internet grocer, Peapod, to bring the delivery service to parts of Central Pennsylvania. A new facility was built in Camp Hill to service the area and about 50 new jobs were created, including personal shoppers and delivery drivers. Giant says this new service is all about convenience for the customer.
“We pretty much carry all the items you’ll find and that you’ll see at Giant, with a slightly different selection,” said Giant Food Stores Public & Community Relations Manager Chris Brand, “But I should also mention that when you do order from Peapod.com, you will also get all of your bonus buys. So if you see it in the ad on sale, when you go on Peapod.com you see the same thing for the same price.”
In addition to delivery, customers also have the option of shopping online and picking up their groceries at either the Camp Hill or Linglestown Road Giant locations. For more information on the service, check out the website www.Peapod.com.
