LANCASTER COUNTY, PA (WPMT) Police in Lancaster County seek to identify the suspects in a pair of “Grab & Run” thefts at Tanger Outlets in East Lampeter Township last week Thursday, February 19.
The first incident involved the theft of an an engagement ring at Kay Jewelers. Employees told police that a black or hispanic male asked to see an expensive three stone 2 carat diamond white gold engagement ring. When the clerk handed the ring to the man he immediately turned and ran out of the store. He was last seen running towards Arby’s restaurant on Lincoln Highway.
Police were alerted to another nearly simultaneous report of a retail theft involving a male running out of Zales Diamond store with an expensive ring. Employees said a black male, mid 30’s, 25-35 years of age, 6 feet, 2 inches in height, husky build, wearing a blue LA Dodgers baseball hat, black winter coat, and gray sweatpants,asked to see an expensive multiple diamond white gold anniversary ring.
When the clerk handed the ring to the suspect he immediately ran out of the store with the ring. Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact ELTPD Detective Sergeant Brian Cloonan.
