Harrisburg city council woman, Sandra Reid, is being charged after she allegedly interfered with police. District Attorney Ed Marsico filed a disorderly conduct charge against Reid after her arrest last week at an Exxon gas station on 15th and State streets.

Marsico says it's not what Reid said that's illegal, but it's what she did.

Marsico addressed council woman Reid's disorderly conduct charged Thursday at the courthouse. He says on November 26th, police were in the process of making an arrest outside of the gas station convenience store. During this time, Reid drove up in her car, with her headlights on. Police asked her to turn the lights off several times. Marsico says she turned them off, then back on again. She proceeded to engage police, repeatedly telling them to take the person being arrested inside the store. Marsico says he has no relationship with the person who was being arrested. Police asked her to move along, but she persisted, asking police for names and badge numbers. Now she faces a disorderly conduct charge.

Marsico says, "It's one thing to say hey, is everything okay officer? What's going on? But when it takes a different tone and repeated when officers are trying to do their job, then it becomes a problem."

Marsico says Reid could face a find upwards of $300. But he says it's likely she won't serve jail time because this isn't a misdemeanor or felony. We have several calls out to Reid, her attorney and city officials. We are waiting for a response.

This isn't Reid's first run in with police. Marsico says a similar incident happened back in August.
