Harrisburg Police arrested a man who they say robbed the Mid Penn Bank on Derry Street in Swatara Township, Dauphin County.
Swatara Township Police say on Saturday, March 7th at approximately 10 o’clock, a white male wearing hooded jacket, later identified as 47-year-old Bryan David Fried, entered the Mid Penn Bank and demanded money from a teller. According to police the suspect told the victim to “give me all the money in your drawer” after which he left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash.
A witness observed the Fried running on S. 45th Street in Harrisburg. The witness also saw Fried leave the area in a white Ford Ranger pickup. The witness saw the suspect carrying cash in his hands that appeared to be stained with a red dye. Harrisburg police located Fried in the 1100 block of Mulberry Street and arrested him.
Fried has been charged with one count of Robbery of a Financial Institution and is pending a preliminary arraignment at the Dauphin County Booking Center.
