An armed suspect who robbed Madera Brother’s Mini Market Wednesday, August 17 in Harrisburg was shot by one of the employees, according to the Harrisburg Police Department.

The suspect entered the store, and pointed a handgun at the clerk behind the register. The store employee was able to retrieve a loaded shotgun and fired at the suspect, police said.

The suspect, described as a 6-foot-tall black man, fled from the store, leaving a small blood trail inside the store. No one else, police report, was injured during the incident.

Harrisburg police are still looking for the suspect. It is an ongoing investigation.

Anyone who has information regarding the incident is asked to call police at 717-558-6900. Dauphin County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
