Fairview Township police have charged a clerk at Hess Express with fraudulent use of a woman’s credit card from back in July.
Police say the victim used her card at the Hess Express and accidentally left it at the pump. Later that day, the card was used with authorization.
During investigation, police were looking for a female suspect that was caught on surveillance cameras at the gas station that night but did not commit the crime.
Upon further investigation, police determined that the clerk on duty at the time of the transaction, Rodrecus Capers,28, was the actual offender.
Capers is now charged with 1 count of forgery and theft by deception and 3 separate counts of access device fraud charges.
