EAST PENNSBORO TWP., CUMBERLAND CO.- A Cumberland County Kmart cashier is accused of letting her mother through her checkout line without paying for more than $1,500 worth of merchandise.
Officers responded to the store located along the 400 block of North Enola Road in East Pennsboro Township for a reports of retail theft committed by an employee on April 10.
According to police reports, a Kmart Loss Prevention employee became aware of the thefts after several suspicious transactions were made with the same credit card. Store surveillance footage showed 18-year-old Destiny Grajales-Dominguez failing to ring out several purchases made by her mother, 39-year-old Elizabeth Dominguez-Perez, investigators said.
The total merchandise stolen was estimated to be around $1,535.19.
Both Grajales-Dominguez and Dominguez-Perez are charged with retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft.
