WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Swarms of comic book fans flocked to shops across the country for what’s being called “the Black Friday of the comic book world.” Comix Connection in York County is one of thousands of locations that celebrated Free Comic Book Day.
More than 5 million comic books are given away each year to both kids and adults nationwide.
“We had a line out the door from the moment we opened at 9 o’clock, we opened an hour early,” store Co-owner Ned Senft said. “This is the first time we’ve been able to see the end of the line. It’s been a fantastic turnout, people are really coming out.”
Comix Connection also accepted canned food donations which will help those in need in the community.
