New Radiation Technology

Lancaster General Health unveiling new radiation technology Wednesday, the most advanced in the nation.  The Cyberknife M6 is a new form of radiation treatment that involves no cutting.  It is designed to treat tumors precisely with high doses of radiation anywhere in the body.  Doctors say it could be an option for many patients with inoperable or very complex tumors.  The ability for doctors to precisely deliver radiation to the tumor also helps spare healthy tissue.  Lancaster General Health is the first in the United States to offer treatment with technology.
