CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. - Connor Howard-Bee was just six weeks old when he died at Penn State Hershey Childrens Hospital. Cumberland County District Attorney David Freed says the baby had multiple broken ribs, skull fractures, broken bones and swelling on the brain.
"None of us have ever seen a case this bad. The physicians that tried to treat this child have expressed similar opinions," said Freed.
November 10, the baby was found unresponsive in his crib. November 12, he died from multiple traumatic injury.
The infant's father, John Howard-Bee, faces charges of aggravated assault and come Monday will be charged with homicide.
" We're going to do our utmost to try to get justice for this little boy who had such an unfortunate existence here. We know he's in a better place," added Freed.
The infant's heart was donated to gift of life. His mother is part of the investigation. Howard-Bee had sole custody when the boy's injuries occurred.
