YORK, Pa. - A Mother's Day tradition in York continued strong on Sunday. For the last 41 years, the Olde York Street Fair has offered live entertainment and local food for moms and families in Continental Square.
The fair brings thousands to the downtown area with dozens of vendors who set up shop-- selling the perfect gifts for mothers. People also enjoyed treats to eat including American festival food.
"All of the food vendors here support a local non-profit," York City Special Events Coordinator Mary Yeaple said, "so when you're down here eating, you're supporting a good cause ."
The great weather was also an added bonus on this Mother's Day.
"I wanted to come out and I wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather and spend some time with my daughter," street fair attendee Shannon Patterson said, "and its been great, she loves the York community and just want to come out and experience the people. That's what's most important."
There was also plenty of fun to be had for kids with inflatables, games, and face painting.
