PENN TWP., Perry County, Pa. -- State Police are on the scene of a deadly shooting in Perry County.
It happened along Rebecca Drive in Penn Township.
"It's just something you don't think would happen," neighbor Glenda Meals said. "You just don't think it will happen next door."
Another neighbor, who wanted her identity protected said, "I don't understand. I really don't understand how something like this happens."
State Police say that around 10:05 a.m., an eviction proceeding was taking place at 11D Rebecca Drive. During this eviction attempt, an altercation took place and shots were fired. The shooting left result one person wounded and one person dead. The wounded was flown to an area hospital where his condition is currently unknown. Police say everyone involved in the shooting has been identified and there is no danger or threat to the public.
"It's heartbreaking. Very sad," said Meals.
State Police said new details should be available Tuesday.
