LANCASTER, Pa. — UPDATE (July 29): A man was shot after a verbal confrontation turned physical, police said.
On July 28 around 12:50 p.m., police were dispatched to the first block of West Filbert Street in Lancaster for a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, police found a man suffering from gunshot wound to the legs and groin.
He was transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment, and is said to have non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators learned that there was a verbal confrontation between a group of men at the victim, leading to the victim being shot once.
The group of men involved in the altercation were known to the victim, and fled the scene on foot. They weer last seen heading towards Manor Street.

PREVIOUSLY: Dispatch confirmed one person has been injured following a shooting in Lancaster City.
Police were dispatched at 12:53 p.m., today, to the first block of West Filbert Street for shots fired.
The severity of the injuries is unknown.
Lancaster City Police are on the scene investigating.
