YORK COUNTY, Pa.-(WPMT) Following an inspection, PennDOT on Thursday, closed the bridge that carries Iron Stone Hill Road over Inners Creek between the boroughs of Dallastown and Loganville in York Township, York County. The bridge had been posted for 10 tons.
PennDOT advises travelers that the bridge will be closed until it can be replaced. Until then, motorists should use the detour which follows Church Street, Susquehanna Trail and Route 214.
A project to replace the Iron Stone Hill Road bridge is currently under design with construction scheduled for 2017, if not sooner.
An average of nearly 900 vehicles travel this section of Iron Stone Hill Road every day.
