LANCASTER, Pa. – Investigators working throughout the night and today have identified a suspect in the Monday evening shooting of a 17 year old male.  It happen at about 7 pm in the middle of the 500 block of East King Street. The victim remains in critical condition after undergoing emergency surgery.

Witnesses told detectives that a black male wearing all black remove a unknown type revolver from his waistband and fire one round into the victim’s torso area at very close proximity. Those witnesses were able to positively identify the person they saw fire the shot as Julius Robert Craig, 18, whose last known address was in the  400 block of W. Vine Street.  Craig is not permitted to possess a firearm stemming from a prior robbery conviction in 2012.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Craig’s arrest. He is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Charges against Craig include Criminal Attempt to Commit Homicide, Persons not to Possess Firearms, and Firearms not to be Carried Without a License.
