HARRISBURG, Pa. – A tense police standoff ends Friday night with the surrender of the suspect in a shooting along the 1900 block of Mulberry Street on September 21st in Harrisburg.
AT about 7:24 p.m. Harrisburg Police were advised that Swatara Police were pursuing a vehicle from the Harrisburg Mall into the city. One of the occupants in the vehicle was identified as Tristan Rodgers who is wanted for criminal attempt homicide. The suspect vehicle eventually stopped in the 1900 block of Ethel Alley and the occupants jumped out and ran. Officers pursed the suspect identified as Rodgers into a building on the 1900 block of Market Street.
Additional Harrisburg Police and Pennsylvania State Police arrived and surrounded the building. Chief Carter was able to make contact with Rodgers via cell phone and after speaking with Rodgers for a period of time, he surrendered without incident.
Rodgers is charged with Criminal Attempted Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Person Not to Possess Firearm, and Criminal Mischief.
