According to a new poll by Quinnipiac University, an overwhelming amount of Pennsylvanians want to see Joe Paterno’s statue restored to the front of Beaver Stadium.
The poll found that nearly 60 percent of the more than one thousand people polled favor reinstalling the former Penn State football coach’s statue. The statue was removed from the outside of Beaver Stadium in July of 2012 after Jerry Sandusky’s child molestation conviction. Those surveyed also strongly support a recent deal between Penn State and the NCAA that restored 112 wins from Paterno’s later years.
