WEST COCALICO TOWNSHIP, Pa.–A Reinholds man is facing charges after he admitted to having sexual intercourse with a miniature horse in Lancaster County, according to the criminal complaint.
Travis M. Wagner, 21, is charged with burglary and sexual intercourse with an animal. He was arraigned Monday on $5,000 unsecured bail.
Police responded to a home along the 500 block of Indiantown Road in West Cocalico Township on Aug. 16 for reports of suspicious activity.
A neighbor told the property owner that they spotted a suspicious Dodge Dakota pickup truck, bearing PA registration ZHA 1849, trespassing on his land. The property owner called police and reported that a man was trespassing on his land and was seen walking into his barn at night, according to the criminal complaint. The barn housed cattle and a miniature horse.
Police traced the vehicle back to Wagner. Officers spoke with Wagner at his home, where he admitted that he entered the barn for the specific purpose to engage in sexual intercourse with a miniature horse, court documents state.
Wagner stated he had engaged in the same sexual acts with the same horse inside the barn on at least two previous occasions prior to Aug. 16, according to the criminal complaint.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 2.
