COLUMBIA, Pa.– Part of Route 30, between York and Lancaster Counties will be closed overnight.
PennDot closed the stretch of roadway between Route 441 in Lancaster County and the Wrightsville exit in York County around midnight.
The closure, which spans the length of the Route 30 bridge over the Susquehanna River, is being made so emergency repair work can be done by Amtrak and Norfolk Southern in the rail yard at Columbia.
A crane is being brought in to help lift a large utility pole that came down with the strong winds on Sunday morning.
This section of Route 30 is expected to reopen around 5:00 a.m. Monday. Drivers are urged to use caution in the area and plan to use an alternate route.
