CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. – Convicted serial child molester Jerry Sandusky is set to appear in Centre County Court early next Month. The former football coach is seeking an Evidentiary Hearing to have some of the charges on which he was sentenced be set aside and that on other charges he be granted a new trial.
On June 22, 2012, a jury of seven women and five men found Sandusky guilty of 45 counts of sexual abuse of young boys over a 15 year period from 1994 to 2009. He was sentenced on October 9, 2012 to 30 to 60 years in prison.
Centre County Court Judge John M. Cleland issued an order today for Centre County Sheriff’s Department to transport Sandusky from SCI Greene County to Courtroom #1 at the courthouse on Monday, May 2,
