State Police in Newport, Perry County have announced that the suspect in Saturday night’s double-murder, has been found dead.
Barry Lee Myers, 61, of Shermansdale, was found dead from a self-inflicted gun shot wound in Grantville, Dauphin County on Sunday morning.
Troopers say this is an ongoing investigation. Autopsies on the victims, 38-year old Philip Sechrist and his wife, 43-year old Lisa, will be conducted on Monday.

Two people were found dead in their home on the 4300 block of Valley Road in Carroll Township Saturday evening.
According to police, Philip Sechrist, 38, and Lisa Sechrist, 43, of Shermansdale were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds around 9:30 Saturday night.
Police say Philip was outside of the residence when 61-year-old Barry Lee Myers, who resides in a camper trailer on the same property, came into contact with him. Myers allegedly shot Sechrist several times, killing him. When Lisa Sechrist heard the gunfire, she attempted to go outside when Myers fired several shots at her. She was struck and died from her injuries at the scene, police said.
State Police are searching for and have charged Myers with Criminal Homicide in their deaths. Myers is described as a 5’8″ to 5’9″ white male, weighing approximately 150 pounds. Police believe he is driving a ’99 maroon colored Volkswagen Passat with the license plate “RC850P.”
