YORK, Pa. - Thanksgiving cheer is being spread through parts of York County thanks to the Catholic Harvest Food Pantry.
Volunteers with the organization delivered hundreds of Thanksgiving dinners to 450 families in need of meals ahead of the holidays. Organizers say during these holiday months, they see their highest demand.
"This is just a time of year that is just great to give back to the community, Food Pantry Director Kris Pollick said, "Our families that are low-income just want to have a dinner just like everyone else. And now we give them the opportunity that they can afford to spread the cheer. "
Catholic Harvest Food Pantry provides food to over 700 families in need every month.
